Wedding Albums with every package!
The biggest change I have made in 2015 is that all of my wedding packages comes with an album now! Albums, for a long time, have been a love/ hate relationship with me, but I have perfected a way to make them 100% fun to make and I am so happy that I can include them in every one of my wedding packages! Just one more reason for you to have me shoot your wedding ;)
Is the D750 shooting to slow for you? - Solution
A lot of people are complaining about how the D750starts to slow down after you have taken so many pictures with it. Some have even sent their cameras back to Nikon, but that's not the solution. I let you know how to fix this problem and get you back on track for your next shoot.
The speed of your SD card is everything when shooting with the D750! The files are just way to big to handle the old cards of yesterday. I put a link for you below to find the exact same cards that I used in the video and they are absolutely awesome!
How my editing style has changed
This morning, I was going through all the weddings I ever shot, which was a bit overwhelming, but came to the wedding of Jim and Christina Holloway. Noticing that I still had the RAW files of the bridal session, I decided to see how my editing style has changed over the years! I imported the pics into Lightroom 5 and did my thing. I decided not to look at the older pics until I was done and at the end, I would compare them and see which one I liked better!
It was a very cool experience and I can definitely say that I like the way I edit now compared to 4-5 years ago. Here are a couple pictures that I edited.
The old picture is on the left and the new editing style is on the right
We should always be trying to improve the way we edit as photographers. It's cool to look back at the way I use to do things and how I have changed. I hope as the years go on, that I can write a post 5 years from now and say "I can't believe I use to edit that way" ;)

An Engagement Session in Germantown - Nashville TN
Germantown is one of the fastest growing residential neighborhoods in Nashville and also a great place to take pictures of amazing couples! After we shot in Germantown for a while, we drove around to a few other places, just having fun and taking pictures!
Show the pictures you want to shoot
Today I want to share a little tip. Go through your portfolio and show what you want to shoot.
Nikon D750: Mapping the ISO button to the Movie record button
If you are like me, the ISO button on the D750 is one of my biggest complaints.... well not anymore! Khai on Youtube pointed out to me that you can map the ISO button to a different place on your D750 camera! It's very easy to do and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a Nikon D750! It is awesome! Enjoy
What I DON'T like about the D750.
After shooting 3 weddings, I can now tell you the things I don't like about the D750.... One of them is a big deal!
Destination Wedding - Marshall Texas
I love Texas... I grew up there and it was so nice to get the chance to go back and shoot a wedding there! These are a few pictures from Sarah and Josh's wedding.

Nashville Wedding at the Ryman Auditorium
Two nights ago, I had the honor of shooting a wedding at the Historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN. Helen Morisette did an amazing job planning it and I wanted to post some pictures to show you what a wedding could be like there ;) If you're just getting engaged, you want to seriously consider getting married at the Ryman! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. The ceremony takes place on the historic stage of the Ryman, a place that every country artist dreams about performing on! The guests of the wedding are allowed to explore the Ryman Auditorium from top to bottom, including going back stage where only Artists are normally allowed to go! When the Ryman isn't being filled with amazing music, it serves as a wedding venue for both celebrities and destination weddings from around the world.
If you're interested, contact Helen Morisette to get the details!
I'll be posting more pictures in the future, but I absolutely loved shooting at the Ryman so much! Most people probably don't even know you can get married there..... well now you know ;) So when you get engaged in the next couple of months, keep the Ryman Auditorium in mind
Helen Morisette at Weddings by Helen, is the contact if you are considering having your wedding there.... and I would love it if you considered me as your photographer ;)

Question #2 - The future of wedding photography gear?
Here are a couple of questions that Ryan Maciej presented to me.
It seems like more and more of the landscape photography community is trending towards mirrorless camera systems, such as the Sony a7 likely due to their size and weight when traveling. Where do you see the equipment used by wedding photographers heading in the next few years?
Would you rather have "smaller" file sizes for editing, or do you ever find the need for massive photos like the d810's 36MP sensor or medium format?
Do you carry a lot of lenses to a wedding to make sure you have everything, or do you like to keep it simple and have your couple go-to lenses you carry.
Do you bring a tripod to weddings?
Thank you Ryan for the questions. You can see come of his landscape photography here: RyanMaciej.com
Finding Your Own Style as a Wedding Photographer
Sometimes finding your won style is a lot simpler than we try to make it out to be. Here's a video that will hopefully encourage you to "find your own style" as a wedding photographer.

Question #1- Is the D750 better than the D4?
I received a question from Kenneth Quinn last night, asking me "Is the D750 better than the D4? and if I was to upgrade which one should I go for Nikon D4? or Nikon D810? I would appreciate your help"
Great question Kenneth, here's a video hopefully giving you a good answer to your question.
You can see Kenneth's fashion blog at http://kennethquinn.blogspot.com/
Here is a link to the D750 I talked about in my video. Yes, this is an affiliated link and yes I will make money if you click on it and buy it, but if my review helped you to make the decision to get it, then I ask you do my a solid and buy your D750 through this link ;) My sole purpose (with these links) is to help photographers to find the right gear that helps them to become better photographers. It's not to make money, but it also doesn't hurt to make a little extra cash.
If you are new to Nikon and you need a lens, use this link and get a great 50mm lens with the camera.

Shelby Park Engagement Session with Tom and Aimee
I've had a few shoots lately, where we just pick a place and start taking pictures, with no direction... just walking around and seeing what we find! I love these kinds of shoots, because you never know what we're going to come up with! In my head, it's pretty easy to make something out of nothing, but it's a real leap of faith for my couples to trust me (or any photographer) to make something beautiful out of their session.
Tom and Aimee met me in the morning to take some pictures in the cold at Shelby Park in Nashville TN. I had never been here before, but it was very cool! This session was about an hour long.
