Getting out of the house

Getting ready for a year long trip through America is not the easiest thing to do. It comes with a lot of different strong opinions and some are logical and some are not. Either way, it gets emotional sometimes and I just need to get outside to take a deep breathe and remember why we are doing this in the first place!

Austin and I went to a cotton field the other day at the Same Davis Home in Smyrna TN. He was able to see the cotton grow, pick it and run through it!

We both had a great time and it was a good reminder of what is coming our way!  What is it about getting outdoors that makes someone come to life? We ran through the cotton for a long time and then plopped down into some leaves and threw them on each other for a while!

Pretty soon we headed back to the house, where there was another opinion about something that was already discussed before. It's tough, but it's teaching me a lot of patience. I know the lord has me on this path for a reason and I'm 100% for being a part of his plan.

here we are at a Christmas party together.

The toughest thing for me is that we have had it one way for a long time and Kitty has had it her way for a longer time and the two ways are very different. So, we butt heads a little... or maybe a lot, but it's usually in a kind hearted way of trying to "teach" a new way of living, which we all have to get ready for. It's hard to convey that when you have all the luxury's of home right now, but we are making it happen.

I really appreciate you following along our journey. The only reason I am able to type this blog right now, is because everyone else is sleeping. I have no idea how I will make time for it in the future, but I will try to be consistent.
