The trip that changed everything

This was the trip that changed everything for us. Though we stayed in hotels and drove a ton of miles (8000) in three weeks, we came to the conclusion that this is what we want to do full time! 

At that time, we didn’t know what we were going to do with Rhondas mom. There was no way in the world we were going to leave her by herself in assisted living while we toured America for a year. 

That’s when I came up with the idea to tour America in an Airstream! My wife thought I was crazy, but the more we talked about it, the more it made sense! It solved many problems we were having with taking care of Kitty and it allowed her the opportunity to see America without having to walk to far! 

That’s a quick explanation of how we came up with this idea. As things develop, I will be writing more. My thoughts, real life experiences, Kitty’s perspective, Rhondas thoughts… All of it combined into this one account of our year long journey of “Showing Mom America”.
