Was a Year on the road easy?

It’s been a year since we took off on the road full-time. People are now asking me if it was easy? NO, it was not. In fact, so many things didn’t happen the way we thought they would. But, what full timing teaching you is, you have to be adaptable. Things are going to happen on the road, that you never expect and you learn quick to change your plans. So what are some of the things that happen on the road? Well… we had to get our entire floor replaced, because there was a water heater leak. It side tracked us for 6 weeks. Sometimes you fall in love with a place so much, that you spend to much time there (according to your schedule) then you have to change your plans. What you learn later on down the road, is that you can take all the time you want to do whatever you wish. Screw your schedule… those places you want to see will still be there later when you have the time.

Fulltiming is all about enjoying the here and now. Don’t let people or places push you to drive more than you want to. Your life will be so much easier if you just take it slow.
