Juniper Tree at night in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

Juniper Tree at night in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

from 95.00

It’s never easy getting up at 2am, but when I heard the Leonids meteor shower was going right over Montrose in the early morning, I had to get up and see it! Most photographers just point their camera in the sky and hope a meteor passes in front of them, but I always have to take the shot one step further. So, I decided to shoot by this beautiful Juniper Tree in the middle of the night, point my camera upward, and light paint the tree at the same time trying to capture a meteor! It just so happened that one of the Leonids meteors passed right in the background as I was painting my tree with a flashlight! This image is one-of-a-kind and and a good example of both skill and luck coming together at the same time!

Remember your trip to The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park with this beautiful picture of the Juniper Tree during the Leonids meteor shower at night!
