A Partnership Built Around Adventure, Luxury, and Place
Elope Telluride is an adventure-elopement company based near the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Each year, my wife and I help approximately 30 couples create deeply personal wedding experiences in the mountains surrounding Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, and Silverton, with an average client investment of approximately $7,500.
The vehicle we use is an essential part of that experience. It carries our couples, their wedding attire, and our equipment into remote mountain locations that would otherwise be difficult to reach. For many couples, the journey becomes one of the most memorable parts of the day.
I am seeking a two-year partnership with Lexus built around the GX 550 Overtrail—not as a logo-covered promotional vehicle, but as a genuine part of the Elope Telluride experience and the subject of an ongoing body of professional automotive photography.
The goal would be to photograph the GX 550 Overtrail in the kinds of places its owners dream of taking it: high-alpine passes, rugged backcountry roads, dramatic overlooks, aspen forests, desert landscapes, fresh snow, fall color, and changing mountain weather.
Some photographs would naturally include real couples and their wedding experiences, while many would focus entirely on the GX itself. Together, the images would tell a larger story about capability, refinement, exploration, and the freedom to reach extraordinary places.

One of the greatest strengths I bring to this partnership is my knowledge of the San Juan Mountains.
I have spent years driving, exploring, photographing, and working throughout the mountains surrounding Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, Silverton, and the surrounding region. I know far more than a handful of well-known overlooks. I know the hidden roads, changing light, seasonal conditions, and distant locations that allow the same vehicle to be photographed in completely different ways throughout the year.
That knowledge makes it possible to create a diverse, continually evolving body of work rather than repeating the same compositions in the same recognizable places.
Depending on the season and conditions, the GX 550 Overtrail could be photographed among:
High-alpine peaks and mountain passes
Aspen forests during peak fall color
Wildflower-covered summer landscapes
Snow-covered roads and winter scenery
Waterfalls, rivers, and reflective mountain lakes
Rugged desert and red-rock environments
Dense forests and remote backcountry camps
Dramatic storms, fog, sunsets, and night skies
Because I live near these locations and regularly travel throughout the region, I can respond when exceptional photographic conditions appear. Fresh snowfall, changing weather, peak fall color, dramatic clouds, and clear night skies do not always happen on a production schedule. Being local allows me to take advantage of those moments when they are at their best.
The vehicle would also be kept in presentation-ready condition through regular washing and detailing, allowing me to photograph it whenever the light, weather, or landscape creates an opportunity. At other times, the GX could be shown with the dust and character of genuine backcountry travel.
This combination of location knowledge, proximity, professional photography experience, and real-world mountain use would give Lexus access to imagery that would be difficult and expensive to reproduce through a conventional one-time commercial production.

The primary value of this partnership would be a professionally created library of Lexus GX 550 photography produced throughout the year in authentic mountain and backcountry environments.
Rather than relying primarily on frequent social posts or short-lived promotional content, the focus would be on creating polished, versatile photographs with long-term value for Lexus marketing, editorial, digital, social, dealer, and brand storytelling.
Annual Photography Deliverables
50 professionally edited photographs of the Lexus GX 550 Overtrail each year
A mix of wide environmental images, detailed vehicle photographs, lifestyle imagery, and dramatic hero compositions
Photography created across multiple seasons, including summer, fall, winter, and spring
A minimum of six dedicated automotive photography outings each year
Images featuring the GX 550 Overtrail alone in mountain and backcountry settings
Select photographs naturally incorporating real Elope Telluride couples and their experiences
A range of vertical, horizontal, and web-friendly compositions
High-resolution files suitable for approved digital, social, editorial, dealership, and marketing use
A curated annual collection organized by season, location, and type of imagery
Featured Story Collections
Each year, I would also create two more complete visual story collections centered around a specific journey, season, or environment.
Examples might include:
A winter journey through the San Juan Mountains
The GX 550 Overtrail during peak Colorado fall color
A high-alpine summer route
A remote desert-to-mountain adventure
A real Elope Telluride experience in which the vehicle becomes part of the couple’s story
Each collection would include a cohesive group of photographs and a short written narrative describing the journey, landscape, and role of the vehicle.
Supporting Content
Photography would remain the main focus of the partnership, but I could also provide a limited amount of supporting behind-the-scenes content when it naturally adds value.
This could include:
Occasional vertical clips from photography outings
Brief behind-the-scenes footage showing the GX in use
Select social posts or stories connected to major photographic releases
Short written accounts of locations, journeys, and real-world experiences
The purpose of the partnership would not be to create constant promotional noise. It would be to build a strong, authentic, and visually distinctive collection of work showing the Lexus GX 550 Overtrail in the environments it was designed to explore.
Where I have easy access to
I live in Montrose Colorado and have easy access to the mountains of Ouray, Telluride, and Durango. I’m 2.5 hours away from Moab and only a couple more from all the National Parks in Utah. Because I photograph elopements and landscapes full time, I can be out in the mountains at a moments notice if needed to get an amazing shot!
