George Washington and her embarked Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) are currently deployed on a regularly scheduled deployment to the eastern Mediterranean. The President has ordered the George Washington and elements of her Battle Group to proceed to the Arabian Gulf to support UN efforts to complete Iraqi compliance with UN resolutions, joining the USS Nimitz already on station. U.S. Navy photo by PhotographerÕs Mate 3rd Class Joseph Hendricks (Released)

I started as a Photographer's Mate in the US NAVY, which taught me a professionalism you don't find much anymore. How to see every shoot through to the end and the stress of a highly congested environment.

Since then, I've been a successful wedding photographer, family photographer, and landscape photographer and I've so learned much from each area.

Wedding Photography taught me to get along with anyone, work super fast, and be consistent. It also taught me to be confident in my ability as a photographer. You only get one chance to get the picture at a wedding, and many people are depending on you to come through.  I found out quickly that I'm great under pressure!

Family Photography taught me patience with people, and how to organize large groups who don't always get along. Family photography is also very important, and I never take for granted how much these pictures mean to the families I photograph.

Landscape Photography taught me a patience that wedding and family photography could never teach. It also showed me how beautiful this world is and it's constantly calling me back to spend more time with it!

As in life, we only get one chance to capture it all. I hope that my photography inspires you. I enjoy every single shoot I do and have for the last 24 years. I look forward to the fact that I have no idea what the next shoot is going to bring.
